Initially a researcher for Solomon, Toudou was the founder and head of their Project Robin (Project Devil’s Child) that was responsible for creating the so-called “perfect witch.” He succeeds in creating this genetically engineered perfect witch, and volunteers his wife Maria to carry the child 15 years prior to the beginning of the series, due to chromosomal abnormalites within her genes that proved to be the "key to a perfect Witch." (Robin) Toudou’s project was cancelled because of his theory on modern day witches, where he states that these “witches” were the next step in humanity’s evolution. He is murdered, but Toudou does leave behind records of his project in several forms (his own personal diary and on data disks) that Zaizen orders people working at Factory to decrypt and salvage as much as they can.
