The mysterious young woman seen in the yellowing picture within Toudou Hiroshi’s room, Father Juliano reveals later to Robin that Maria was her mother and his daughter--trained as a Hunter for Solomon in Europe. Toudou's videodisc reveals that Maria had a chromosomal abnormality that shortened her lifespan, but would prove to be the "key to a perfect Witch." Toudou used these genes to create Robin, the Eve of Witches.
