Karasuma is the cool-headed, second-in-command (kind of) of the STN-J team who looks far older than her 19 years. It has to be the way she dresses and does her hair that does it -- I honestly thought she had to be at least 21-23 years old. o.o She's been with the organization for a while, and seems to have had some sort of a past with Amon. (See a trend?)

Karasuma's craft is a technique referred to as "scrying" in the series. It's similar to empathy -- she can tell what someone feels from an object they've handled or touch, so long as she does it in a certain amount of time. After that, she has a hard time feeling that person's essence. If you're still not getting it -- if you've seen Yami no Matusei and know who Hisoka is, think of him. That's basically Karasuma. :P

Another explaination of Karasuma's power is given by Cason Snow: "Another term to explain Karasuma Miho's power would be "psychometry" as defined by the OED: The (alleged) faculty of divining, from physical contact or proximity only, the qualities or properties of an object, or of persons or things that have been in contact with it." Definitely a more accurate explaination of Karasuma's powers...

Sometimes, Karasuma has problems with Robin and her questions. She sort of comes off as being bitchy to the poor girl as the series goes on, but I think that's mostly due to the fact she doesn't like being questioned and the fact she's not used to someone as young and (kind of) naive as Robin is. She also has problems with filling in the leadership position left behind after Robin and Amon temporarily disappear after the attack on STN-J.
