One of the top witch hunting officials within Solomon, Father Juliano also runs the monastery where Robin was raised “since her parents died.” However, it is revealed later on in the series that Father Juliano is Robin’s maternal grandfather. He allowed his daughter Maria (a Witch and Toudou’s wife) to carry the genetically engineered child for Solomon’s Project Robin. When Maria died giving birth to Robin, he originally had vowed to kill the child, but upon seeing his granddaughter he could not bring himself to do so. He ends up raising Robin within in monastery and trains her to be a Craft-user for Solomon.
