Doujima asks Amon what he thinks he is doing, and he calls her a traitor. She asks Amon how what she did is any different from what he does. Amon releases her and says that he will never betray his comrades. Both of them stand in silence as a train goes by. [OP] Nagira walks into the casino and sits next to his informant, asking him how things went. The informant puts a cigarette in his mouth. Robin sits in her little room, thinking. Nagira knocks on the door, asking if he can come in. She tells him to come in, and learns from Nagira that they found someone who's seen Amon twice, watching a house from his car during the day. Robin asks why, and Nagira says he doesn't know. He asks Robin if she would like to come along and find out what's going on; she agrees. At Metropolitan Police Headquarters, Kosaka waits to speak with the commissioner. Nagira enters his car, where Robin waits for him, saying that he found out nothing, other than an old lady has been living at the house they're investigating for a long time. Nagira said Amon was chasing someone in the area, and Robin suggests that Robin came to ask for information about someone. Nagira becomes annoyed, saying that the old woman doesn't talk about anything other than old legends, asking who Robin thinks Amon would talk to in the area. Robin sits quietly, thinking. Nagira says he's become overconfident in what he believes Amon's motive is, since it's been so easy up until now. Nagira starts up the car and Robin asks where they are going. Nagira replies that he must "fill up the moat first" before they can ask the old woman for information. Robin doesn't understand, and Nagira explains that he must find out if there is anyone related to the old woman who could ask about Amon's interests. The commissioner comes out and speaks with Kosaka, offering him some tea. Kosaka says tea will be fine, and the commissioners has his secretary bring hot tea in. Kosaka thanks him, and the commissioner continues. Kosaka mentions that Zaizen has been busy doing other things since the attack on STN-J and hasn't contacted him in a month. The commissioner says, "I see", mentoning there are problems between Zaizen and Solomon Headquarters and soon Zaizen might be replaced at Solomon Japan. The commissioner says they do not plan to call "them" an enemy until they observe the "power play" for a while, and asks Kosaka to cooperate with the police for something. Zaizen walks into his office, and pics up a stylus to use on a touch screen. The screen beeps, pulling up information on the budget being reduced by 40 percent. He calls his secretary and asks her to contact the CFO (Chief Financial Officer) of Solomon Japan, then asks for CFO Sugimura. The secretary decides to call CFO Sugimura instead, and asks Zaizen to wait a moment. She tells Zaizen moments later that Sugimura is not responding to the call. Zaizen demands to know what is going on. The secretary replies that she does not know, and cannot get any of the other officers on the phone either. Zaizen asks her to contact them later, and wonders if headquarters is trying to put pressure on him. His computer beeps and he gets a message from headquarters, saying they are sending another hunter. Zaizen wonders if they are after him, and why. He realizes that they are trying to get rid of him, so he picks up the phone to talk to someone about the financial branch... Kosaka walks out of the police department, mentioning that it looks like it's going to rain. At the registry office, Nagira looks for information on the old woman and any relatives she may have as Robin waits outside. Nagira comes out and explains that the old lady had a son who lived with her for a while. Robin asks if Amon was looking for that person, and asks what's wrong when she doesn't get a response from Nagira. Nagira said that all his information was true, but the person died 15 years ago, wondering why Amon is "chasing old things". Robin says he is after something else. Nagira says he doesn't know, and says they must go to the university the son worked for. Back at STN-J headquarters, Kosaka sits at his desk deep in thought. Doujima walks in and says "good morning" to everyone--including the chief. She is surprised at the chief's response, as is everyone else in the room. Haruto wonders if something is wrong with the chief as everyone looks at Kosaka. Robin and Nagira talk to a secretary at the university, who points to information on Toudou Hiroshi, the son of the old woman Amon visited. Doujima walks past the guard and out the gate. The guard stares at her as she walks down the stairs. Nagira and Robin continue reading information on a computer screen. In the middle of a deserted area, we see a man wearing a hat with his head down...the new hunter. Robin sits on some stairs, waiting for Nagira to get off the phone. Nagira discovers that the old woman's son retired from his post at the university because he was poached by a European enterprise called FZ Genetics, a company rumored to have connections with Solomon. Robin whispers, "Solomon?" and Nagira says everything is starting to make sense. The same man stares at the ground, and a voiceover names him as 42-year-old Willem Hasselbyke, the newest hunter sent to Japan by Solomon from Holland. Zaizen asks for more information, and the voice on the other end of the telephone says they are looking for Willem's trail from the time he entered Japan. Zaizen says he will give them more men to speed up the investigation. Willem still stands in the same place, commenting that the memory of death was still there.... "Hornely". [Eyecatch] That night, Robin and Nagira visit the old woman. Nagira introduces himself as an assistant who worked at the university with her son before he left, and he's interested in making a list of the institute. The woman opens the door, and says "Nagira-san, I assume." Robin is surprised that she was able to see though Nagira's lie. The old woman mentions that she was told he would come, then turns to face Robin. Robin takes off her shades and looks at the woman. Nagira notices the looks the two are giving each other and asks if something is wrong. The woman shakes it off and invites them inside. Robin asks Nagira how she knew; he suggests that Amon may have told her, confirming his belief that Amon talked to the woman. Inside, the woman shows Robin and Nagira her son's room, saying that everything was the same as it had been 15 years ago, noting that she hadn't touched anything since "'that' happened". Nagira asks her what she means by 'that' when the old woman apologizes and leaves them alone to investigate. Nagira comments that she understands very well what is going on. Robin and Nagira look around the room as the old woman stands outside. Robin says that she can't find anything, but Nagira says that while she is right, Amon was there looking for something and they must find out what it is. Nagira comes across a diary, while Robin lifts up a sheet to see a picture. Nagira reads the diary and finds something Toudou wrote about his research while in Europe. He notices how quiet Robin has been and asks her what's wrong. Nagira stands up, looking at the picture in her hand. The picture shows Toudou with a girl that looked like Robin standing next to him. Nagira assumes that the old woman looked so surprised because she thought Robin was the same girl from the picture. Robin says they must go, leaving Nagira confused. He follows Robin, then runs into the old woman and asks her if he may borrow Toudou's diary. She says yes. Nagira thanks her for the tea and leaves. The old woman walks into the room and looks at the portrait with a sad expression. Doujima walks into STN-J's office with bags in her hand. She places them on Michael's workstation as he asks her if she's gone home yet. She replies that she forgot something and hands him a snack. Michael thanks her as she goes towards her desk to pull out a pink bag. Doujima places the bag in her purse, then asks Michael if he's ever heard of Solomon's genetic research team. Michael questions her about it, and Doujima says she's only heard rumors and doesn't know anything for sure. Michael asks her where she heard about it, but Doujima replies, "That's a secret!" and leaves. Michael starts typing furiously at his laptop. Zaizen gets a call from the same person claiming to have information on the hunter. Zaizen asks if he is talking about the same one, and the person replies that it is the same one standing at the same place. Zaizen asks if the hunter is standing there waiting for someone, but the person at the other end says nothing. Doujima walks outside, commenting on how chilly it is. Wilhem says, "Still far..." and a truck heads towards him, turning on its headlights. Wilhelm tries to stop it by throwing pieces of the road at it, but it does nothing. The truck stops and several armed men jump out of it. They aim and fire Orbo bullets at Wilhelm, but he protects himself by creating a mound to surround him. The men rush Wilhelm, but he throws more pieces of road at them. The attack does nothing to faze the men, and they place Orbo devices on Wilhelm's mound to weaken his powers. They fire bullets, and the mound crumbles. Wilhelm is captured and put inside the truck to be taken to the Factory. On the way ride over to the Factory, one of the STN-J men begins behaving strangely. Someone calls for a doctor, and they try to restrain him. The man throws someone out of the truck and is shot with Orbo. Another man orders someone to call headquarters immediately. Zaizen is contacted and informs them to send him the data on the raid immediately, as they cannot second guess Orbo's effects. After hanging up, Zaizen says that STN-J is at war with headquarters. Doujima watches a truck from Factory drive by, and does some investigating. She looks behind some bushes and notices some bluish streaks. DOUJIMA: This is...? Back at Robin's place, Nagira reads the diary. He comes across a symbol, explaining to Robin that it appears again and again in the text. He first mistakes it for omega, then pi... NAGIRA: "...the analysis of pi's genomes has been completed... pi becomes a gene... thus, the way to control the abilities has opened." Robin asks Nagira what it means. Nagira replies that "Pi" must have been the core of Toudou's research, believing that it had something to do with genetic research. Robin gets closer to Nagira so she can read it, commenting that this was what Amon was after. Nagira ponders the connection between genetics and witches, but say the only mention of witches is the quote "...contol the abilities". Robin makes the connection between the two, whispering "Orbo". Nagira asks what Orbo is, but Robin says it is nothing and asks him to look for anything written about Priest Juliano in the diary. Nagira flips through the diary, and says no, then asks Robin who Juliano is. Again, Robin says he is no one. Nagira decides to investigate the diary and its contents more precisely later on. He tells Robin to get some rest and leaves. Robin stands up and looks at herself in the mirror, thinking about the girl in the picture and asking herself why Juliano was there. Thunder sounds, lightening crashes, and rain pours as Nagira runs down the street. Eventually, he comes face to face with Amon. Nagira smiles, saying that he knew Amon made a trail so he could find him. Amon says nothing at first, but as Nagira approaches him, he mentions that he will hunt Robin. Nagira asks Amon if something happened to him, but he says he must hunt Robin because she has become a dangerous witch. NAGIRA: What are you talking about? A witch? That's nothing but an arbituary interpretation by Solomon! Amon still says nothing. NAGIRA: Don't tell me you're still carrying the sad memories of your mother! Amon answers that he isn't. Nagira asks him, "What are you saying?", and Amon replies that Nagira must have seen Robin's power. Nagira answers that he doesn't care about that, saying she hasn't changed since the day Amon brought her to him. NAGIRA: Listen, trusting someone is not just based on their past. It's about whether you can trust their heart or not. It might not have been much, but you must have trusted her heart when you entrusted me with her! Nagira asks Amon if doing such a thing is wrong. Amon says nothing. Nagira swears to protect Robin, then is hit in the back of the head... [ED]
