Michael monitors them from an undisclosed location. Haruto pursues the witch into an area where Michael is unable to track him. Haruto manages to get a shot in before the witch loses him by jumping onto a nearby rooftop. He sits down and prepares to relax when Amon jumps onto the rooftop to join him. WITCH: Who the f^ck are you? You bastard! AMON: Your powers will have no effect on me. WITCH: Are you one of those... Hunters? AMON: Perhaps. Amon gets out his gun, and shoots the witch three times. [Witch Hunter Robin OP: Bana's Shell; length: ~1:40] A green cab pulls up to Raven's Flat, the building that houses the offices of STN-J. A young woman exits the cab, holding up a piece of paper with the building's name on it. Inside, Chief Kosaka berates Haruto for wasting precious Orbo bullets during the previous night's witch hunt. Kosaka then greets *his* boss, Zaizen, then heads into the STN-J briefing room to discuss the witch the group hunted the night before. The phone rings in the middle of the meeting, and the chief's assistant (Hattori-kun) picks it up. The guard at the gate explains to him that there is a girl sitting outside who wishes to see to Amon. Hattori explains that Amon is in the middle of a meeting, and cannot be interrupted. Michael shows the group data on Yuuji Higashi, a 25-year-old unemployed witch believed to be the accomplice of the witch STN-J hunted yesterday, Higashi Yuuji. Nishyama Kent (last night's witch) met Higashi ten months ago, and Nishiyama claims he acquired his abilities from Higashi. Zaizen assumes that Nishiyama was unaware of the power he had until meeting the other witch. Karasuma asks if it is possible Nishiyama has the exact same power as Higashi, which Zaizen replies "Most likely." Amon suggests finding Higashi as soon as possible, as he may have found some information on STN-J, before he goes into hiding. The boss agrees and orders the group to make finding Higashi "priority over all else". Zaizen asks Amon to come into his office with him and the meeting is over. The young woman sits inside the gate, reading a book. The guard makes a comment that black is a lucky color, and looks back over at the girl. He begins to approach her when Doujima appears in front of him, saying "Good morning". The guard turns to face Doujima and snaps at her for being late. Doujima ignores his rant and asks who the girl (Robin) is. He replies that she is "Amon-san's guest", and asks her to inform Amon of her presence when she goes upstairs. DOUJIMA: I didn't know Amon liked those kinds of girls. The guard leads Doujima towards the elevator, warning her about the scolding she is in for once she runs into the chief. Doujima asks him not to rush her as Robin watches the two out of the corner of her eyes. Karasuma and Haruto comment on Doujima's tardiness upstairs. Karasuma says there is nothing they can do, since she is "special", and Haruto replies that he would like to be "special" as well. Meanwhile, the boss explains that the morale in the organization has gone down, and wonders if it is due to the death of a former witch hunter. Amon replies that he doesn't know. The boss continues, explaining that Solomon Headquarters will be sending them a replacement. AMON: A replacement? After six months have passed? Amon suspects something isn't right, to which the boss almost immediately picks up on. Zaizen changes the subject and says that more data is needed to confirm the effectiveness of Orbo, the green fluid in the crosses STN-J members wear and in the guns they fire, and says that they must find it before headquarters hears about it. The phone rings, and the boss talks to the person on the other end. Once he hangs up, he tells Amon that the replacement sent to them is a "Craft-user". Doujima walks in, and Haruto warns her about the chief's bad mood. Karasuma follows up by asking her if she will ever learn. Doujima mocks them by telling them to "work hard", right as the chief snaps at her for being late again right as the phone rings once more. Hattori appears with his hands full, informing the chief that Amon has a guest. Doujima pipes up, saying that it is "Amon's girl" and surprises the chief. She continues, claiming the girl came by because she missed him, adding in that she felt sorry for her. Kosaka remains momentarily confused, then angrily picks up the phone. Apparently, the phone call is about the girl who wanted to speak with Amon. He snaps that Amon wasn't there and asks the person to tell the girl. Doujima decides to try sneaking off while he is ranting on the phone, and the chief yells at her once more. In the elevator, Haruto and Karasuma discuss the replacement hunter. Haruto claims he isn't good enough to be a manager, and Karasuma asks if Michael told him that. She turns to Amon and asks him if it's true. Haruto asks if he'll be thrown out if the replacement turns out to be more talented than he. Amon jokingly replies that he will. AMON: A Craft-user... At the gate, the guard tells Robin that she just missed Amon, and suggests that she kill time at Harry's. Robin agrees and heads over there. As she leaves, the guard continues on his "black" fixation from his horoscope. (XP~~~) Back in the office, Kosaka gives Doujima the lecture on not taking her work seriously, claiming she merely "wanders" in and out, and doesn't act normal. Doujima listens to him, wearing a blank stare on her face as he claim her father would be upset with her work ethic. Michael continuees programming on his computer with his music turned up very loudly. At Harry's, Amon and Robin pass each other in a hallway. The two look at each other as they walk by, making a sort of "connection" with one another. Robin turns around completely and watches Amon walk out the door, then heads towards the dining area of Harry's. Zaizen is on the phone, talking about the replacement. He is surprised to find out that she has already entered the country, and orders that Robin be watched very closely. Kosaka is also in Zaisen's office, and is informed that the replacement came into the country on a different flight than the one they were given. Kosaka replies that it isn't the first time headquarters has led them astray. Zaizen comments that she may come alone, suggesting that she may already know about the location of STN-J's headquarters. Master Harry hands Robin a cup of espresso, asking her if the drink was too bitter. Robin explains that she was used to drinking it after every meal. Harry finds out that she was born in Japan, though she recalls nothing about it. He tells her to make herself at home at his "humble establishment". Michael types away at his computer, snacking away on loads of junk food. He notices something, then leans back in his chair to face Doujima, as she lounges around (as usual). Kosaka comes back and berates the two of them, informing them that the replacement got lost at the airport. KOSAKA: Why do hunters always cause so much trouble in such rapid succession? He continues on his rant, calling Robin's actions "idiotic" since she did not wait to be picked up in an unfamiliar place and claims the thought of gaining a new hunter into the group will drive him mad. He seeks some assurance from Hattori, who tries to explain that perhaps she may have had her own reasons for acting alone. Kosaka rants some more about Robin being only fifteen years old and lacked any reason for going off by herself. Zaizen call the guard at the gate area and ask him if he's seen Robin. He replies that he has, and mentions that she'll come back later that evening, since she left them with him. Zaizen explains to Kosaka and Doujima that the girl looking for Amon was the replacement hunter. Kosaka apologizes and has Doujima go look for Robin. Doujima begins to argue with Kosaka, then Zaizen interjects, claiming to know her whereabouts. He volunteers to go pick her up, but Kosaka says that to avoid inconviencing him, he'll have Doujima pick Robin up, since she isn't really do anything. Zaizen agrees to let Doujima come with him to pick the replacement up. Michael informs Amon that Zaizen and Doujima are on their way to pick up Robin. Amon sits in his (rather cool!) car, talking into his communicator, and comments on the odd partnership the two make. Michael explains that Doujima has seen the new hunter's face, so she must come to pick her up. He informs Amon on the basics about Robin: she's fifteen years old, then stops short when he finds information on a warehouse they are watching and sends it to Amon, Karasuma, and Haruto. Robin pays for her meal and espresso, and gets up to leave. Harry comments that she carries herself "like an Italian" and asks for her name. ROBIN: Robin, Sena Robin. HARRY: Robin-chan, eh? How long are you planning to stay here? ROBIN: I'm not sure. The decision isn't mine to make...For a while at least. Harry smiles, and asks her to come back again. Robin agrees, and promises that she will return... soon. After she leaves, Harry notices something at the table she spent the afternoon at, where a candle burns. Harry suspects there is something different about Robin... Outside the warehouse, Haruto checks his gun and prepares to enter. He signals for Karasuma, and both head for a door. Amon waits as Michael informs him of what is going on. He enters as well, claiming that he is "adhering to the plan". As he walks in, he accidently steps on an Ogham's symbol. Once he passes by, the symbol reforms as if it had never been disturbed. Higashi is using this to keep track of the witch hunters. Haruto and Karasuma break in as well, and Michael warns them to be careful. The two head in different directions after the witch, and the Ogham symbol "follows" Haruto after he steps on it. Amon turns a corner, hoping to find a witch, then hears Haruto behind him. He asks what's wrong, but Michael says he doesn't know and tells him to turn the corner behind him. When he finds Haruto, he claims it was nothing but the sand making him trip. Both men head walk off together, but Higashi feels insulted by their lack of response to his powers. Higashi makes Haruto trip once more, causing his Orbo to be rendered completely useless. Amon suspects that it is the Craft at work, and runs towards the witch. Nishiyama trips Amon using his power, and Amon has trouble shooting directly at the witch. Robin enters the warehouse, and discovers the Ogham symbol on the ground. Doujima watches Robin curiously and prepares to ask her what she is doing, but Zaizen stops her, saying that he wants to see how a Craft-user fights. Amon continues having problems stopping Nishiyama as the witch throws objects at him. Robin walks towards him, and he launches one of his air attacks at her, which she stops with her Craft. She attempts to attack him, but her aim is horribly off. Amon wonders what is going on, and turns to Robin the Craft user, thinking outloud if she is the replacement. Robin walks up to Higashi. ROBIN: The history of Ogham's net barrier is now rewritten. This is MY field now. Higashi tries to physically attack Robin, but she dodges out of his way. She tries attacking him once more with her Craft, but her aim is off once more and only manages to set his jacket sleeve on fire. He puts the flames out and grabs Robin, preparing to attack her when he is shot in all directions by Amon, Haruto, and Karasuma. He falls down next to Robin, and Haruto checks to make sure his brain activity is back to normal before Factory is sent in. Robin is confused by Haruto's actions, so Karasuma explains that STN-J does not kill witches, unlike headquarters. She then says that Robin is a very talented replacement, while Amon asks her if she can't use her Craft more efficiently due to the fact she nearly set the entire building on fire. He walks off as Karasuma tries to talk to him, then she apologizes to Robin for his unfriendly behavior. Later, Robin writes that a Craft's seeds have taken root in Japan. Karasuma takes Robin upstairs, and welcomes her to STN-J. [WHR ED - Bana's Half-Pain]
